Decide your limits in advance
Treat gambling as paid entertainment with an uncertain outcome. Use only money you can afford to lose, keep essential expenses separate, and set a time limit before starting. Stop when either limit is reached.
Avoid chasing losses
Increasing stakes or adding deposits to recover a loss can increase harm. A previous result does not promise a future win. Take a break if you feel pressure to continue.
Notice when play stops feeling optional
Borrowing to gamble, hiding activity, neglecting responsibilities, or repeatedly exceeding limits are reasons to step back and seek support. Consider talking with someone you trust and asking the provider about account limits or exclusion.
